On the day I graduated from UCLA, I was hired as a grunt at Laser Media, a company pioneering the use of laser vector computer graphics for both special effects and their control systems.
Within three months, I became the first Digital Technical Director, launching me into a whirlwind of travel. I found myself immersed in the world of global events, corporate shows, and collaborations with celebrities and Hollywood artists.
My first UX/UI endeavor, which I called it “software ergonomics” (long before the terms UX/UI were coined), was the design of “Keys,” a “Laser Piano.” This innovative tool allowed users to play real-time laser digital graphics, enabling spontaneous creation of analog-looking laser shows and interactive graphics for live events.
My travels took me to Japan, Canada, Mexico, and frequently to convention locales like Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, and Texas.
My work spanned a diverse range of projects, including the Olympics, World Expos, iconic locations like Stone Mountain and EPCOT, collaborations with renowned artists such as Neil Diamond and The Who, and contributions to numerous films and religious events.

Laser Media Demo Reel 3. I worked on the Olympics, Stone Mountain, Staying Alive Movie, and I did the Fourth of July/patriotic laser module in this reel.
